Brain CT Scan Sydney

Brain CT Scans are a conventional CT scan that is often used as a first option to quickly rule out abnormalities in the brain, skull or surrounding structures such as the ears. Brain CT scans are quite common and often can be used to assess for a cause for unexplained headaches, injuries post-trauma, or fractures. CT brain scans are popular due to the fast scan time which allows for expedited reporting of serious findings or the exclusion of any serious finding (such as a stroke or aneurysm).

Most CT brain scans do not require contrast but if indicated by your doctor please see our contrast page.
