Brain CT Scan Sydney

CT scans for the brain are a conventional CT scan which is often used as a first option to quickly rule out abnormalities in the brain, skull or surrounding structures such as the ears. This scan is quite common and often can be used to assess for a cause for unexplained headaches, injuries post trauma, or fractures. CT brain scans are popular due to the fast scan time which allows for expedited reporting of serious findings or the exclusion of any serious finding (such as a stroke or aneurysm).

Most CT brain scans do not require contrast but if indicated by your doctor please see our contrast page.
